Michael Resnick, President of The Michael Resnick Group, is a business and management consultant in the “business of music”. An experienced, well seasoned senior music industry executive, Michael has extensive experience in all facets of operating a music label.

From 1984 to 1997, Michael served in various capacities, including Vice-President of Business Administration for the Atlantic Records Group. During this time, he represented The Atlantic Records Group and Elektra Entertainment in the collective bargaining process with the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) and the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA). From 1976 to 1984, Michael was a Vice-President on the executive team at Arista Records. Prior to 1976, Michael served in executive positions including Chief Financial Officer of Discount Records (Retail Chain), Controller of Holt, Rinehart and Winston (Book Publisher) and multiple positions with Columbia Records and the CBS Records Group.

In his year in the music industry, Michael has worked with many well-known artists, including Iron Butterfly, John Michael Montgomery, Tori Amos, Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin. Since leaving The Atlantic Records Group in 1997, Michael has established a very successful consulting practice as well as an Independent Distribution company, Brody Distribution Group, through SONY/RED.
